Orbi City Hotel Official
This is the one Batumi address on our list that doesn't pretend to be modest:...
The Grand Gloria stands directly on Batumi's New Boulevard, close enough to the water that the hotel markets itself around the view rather than treating it as a bonus: balconies on every floor look out over the Black Sea or the boulevard below, and the contemporary tower sits fifty metres from the Grand Mall and its dancing fountains, one of the newer stretch's main evening draws. It is a beach hotel built at full scale, nine floors and nine room categories, rather than a boutique property keeping a low profile a few streets inland. The newer district around it has grown fast enough that the hotel's own skyline neighbours are still mostly under a decade old.
We chose this one for the straightforward reason that it delivers on its own premise: a genuinely beachfront address with the pools, spa and restaurant space to match the promise, rather than a sea-view room that turns out to face a car park. The 12-out-of-13 quality score and roughly 480 reviews point to a property holding up its end at scale, and the range of room categories, from a standard twin to a two-bedroom family suite and a Presidential Suite past 500 square metres, gives the hotel real range for different trip types, from a weekend couple to an extended family booking.
New Boulevard is Batumi's newer waterfront district, built up over the last two decades alongside the glass towers that now share the skyline with the older boulevard further south. The Grand Mall and its fountains sit within walking distance, along with the stretch of beach clubs and restaurants that give this end of the city a livelier, more contemporary feel than the historic old town, which is a short taxi away rather than a walk. It suits a stay built around the beach and the newer boulevard rather than museum-hopping.

The spread from a 20-square-metre standard twin to a 540-square-metre Presidential Suite is unusually wide for a 57-room hotel, and the categories in between, Superior, Corner and Executive suites, a two-bedroom family suite, keep the sea view as the constant even as the floor plans change. It means a couple on a long weekend and a family booking two connecting rooms are both genuinely served rather than one being an afterthought, and the Presidential Suite gives the hotel a ceiling most of its New Boulevard neighbours can't match.
The hotel's restaurants are positioned for the same view the rooms get, tables facing west over the Black Sea as the evening light changes, which turns a standard hotel dinner into something closer to the reason to stay in rather than head out. It's a detail that matters more here than at an inland hotel, where a restaurant view is rarely part of the pitch, and it gives the property a reliable answer for a couple's last night that doesn't involve booking elsewhere.
Indoor and outdoor pools bracket the spa centre, giving guests a year-round reason to stay on-site regardless of the Black Sea's mood outside, and the arrangement suits a beach trip that doesn't depend entirely on beach weather. It is a practical hedge as much as a luxury, useful on the shoulder-season days when the sea is better admired from a lounge chair than swum in, and it keeps the hotel relevant outside the peak summer weeks that define most of Batumi's coast.
